Call for paper – 3D-ARCH, 1-3 mars 2016, Nauplie, Grèce

Du 1er au 3 mars 2016 aura lieu à Nauplie (Grèce), la 7e édition du workshop 3D-ARCH.

L’objectif de ce workshop est de discuter les différentes étapes et processus pour la reconstitution et la modélisation 3D, l’accès aux données, et la compréhension des environnements numériques provenant de plusieurs sources de données.

Les différents sujets abordés lors du workshop sont :

  • Multi-source data and multi-sensors approaches
  • Low-cost sensors and open-source algorithms for terrestrial 3D modeling
  • Automation in data registration
  • Image matching and 3D reconstruction
  • Point cloud analysis
  • 4D modelling
  • Procedural modeling
  • Accuracy requirement and assessment in 3D reconstructions
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality applied to the visualization and conservation of complex architectures and heritage

Appel à contributions :
Les résumés d’articles d’un minimum de 1.000 mots, avec la possibilité d’ajouter des illustrations, devra être envoyé sous format PDF (nom-de-lauteur_etal.pdf) par email à remondino@fbk.eu avant le 20 novembre 2016.

Dal 1 al 3 marzo 2016 si terrà a Nafplio (Grecia) la 7ma edizione del workshop 3D-ARCH.

L’obbiettivo principale del workshop è la discussione dei vari process e tappe per la ricostruzione e la modellazione 3D,e come divulgare e capire i digital environments costruiti con vari data sources.

Gli argomenti principali sono:

From March the 1st to the 3rd, 2016, will be held in Nafplio (Greece), the 7th edition of the 3D-ARCH workshop.

The main focus of the workshop is to discuss steps and processes for smart 3D reconstruction, modelling, accessing and understanding of digital environments from multiple data sources. Topics include:

Call for abstract
The abstract should be at least 1000 words, possibly with figures, and should be sent as PDF file (first-author-name_etal.pdf) via email to remondino@fbk.eu before November, 20th 2016.

Conference – Arqueológica 2.0 8th International Congress on Archaeology, Computer Graphics, Cultural Heritage and Innovation – 5-7 September, 2016, Valencia, Spain

Du 5 au 7 septembre 2016 se déroulera la conférence internationale Arqueológica 2.0 à Valence, Espagne.

La thème du congrès est « Advanced 3D documentation, modelling and reconstruction of cultural heritage objects, monuments and sites », avec les principaux thèmes suivants :

  • Roberto Scopigno is a Research Director at ISTI, an Institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) located in Pisa, and leads the Visual Computer Lab. He graduated in Computer Science at the University of Pisa in 1984, and has been involved in Computer Graphics since then.
    He will present « Delivering and using 3D models on the web: are we ready?« 
  • Herbert Maschner is Executive Director of Center for Virtualization and Applied Spatial Technologies (CVAST) at the University of South Florida. He also holds tenured Professorships in the USF Department of Anthropology and the School of Geosciences.
    He will present « Building a Global Virtual Archaeology Data Network: Tampa, Paris, La Mancha, and Beyond.« 
  • Pedro Santos has been Head of the Competence Center for Cultural Heritage Digitization since 2012. Before he was Deputy Head of the Department of Industrial Applications, today Department of Interactive Engineering Technologies.
    He will present « 3D mass digitization: a milestone for archeological documentation ».
