After a very long time, a huge rewriting process, and a strongly renewed effort the new MeshLab version is finally out!

  • Total rewriting of the internal rendering system. Huge rendering speed ahead!
  • Screened Poisson Surface Reconstruction updated to the very latest version.
  • New Transformation filters.
  • New ways of getting metric information out of your models.
  • Transformation matrices are now used more uniformly among filters.
  • Alpha value is now used properly by all color-related filters.
  • Improvement and typos removal on various help/description texts.
  • Direct upload of models on SketchFab
  • Raster registration on 3D model based also on 2D/3D correspondences
  • Bug-fixing on almost all filters.

Call for paper – 3D-ARCH, 1-3 mars 2016, Nauplie, Grèce

Du 1er au 3 mars 2016 aura lieu à Nauplie (Grèce), la 7e édition du workshop 3D-ARCH.

L’objectif de ce workshop est de discuter les différentes étapes et processus pour la reconstitution et la modélisation 3D, l’accès aux données, et la compréhension des environnements numériques provenant de plusieurs sources de données.

Les différents sujets abordés lors du workshop sont :

  • Multi-source data and multi-sensors approaches
  • Low-cost sensors and open-source algorithms for terrestrial 3D modeling
  • Automation in data registration
  • Image matching and 3D reconstruction
  • Point cloud analysis
  • 4D modelling
  • Procedural modeling
  • Accuracy requirement and assessment in 3D reconstructions

Dal 1 al 3 marzo 2016 si terrà a Nafplio (Grecia) la 7ma edizione del workshop 3D-ARCH.

From March the 1st to the 3rd, 2016, will be held in Nafplio (Greece), the 7th edition of the 3D-ARCH workshop.

Du 5 au 7 octobre 2016 aura lieu à Gênes, Italie, le 14e Workshop Eurographics on Graphics and Cultural Heritage.

Le but de ce workshop est de créer un dialogue international entre les experts des TIC (Technologies de l’information et de la communication) et les chercheurs du Patrimoine Culturel, afin d’avoir une meilleure compréhension des besoins pour traiter, gérer et délivrer l’information culturelle à une plus large audience.
