PhD Studentship – Heritage Consortium, from October 2016

The Heritage Consortium (Bradford, Hull, Huddersfield, Leeds Beckett, Northumbria, Sheffield Hallam and Teesside universities) invites high-quality proposals for up to 12 PhD studentships tenable for three years from 1 October 2016.

Applications are submitted to the Consortium. Successful candidates are admitted to the member university that has the most appropriate supervisory expertise, with specialist co-supervision provided by another consortium partner. All students undertake common cohort-based training in Heritage Research, and have access to facilities and research support at the other Consortium members and their network of heritage organisations.

The Consortium invites research proposals in and across the boundaries of the following subject areas, relating to Heritage:

  • Cultural History
  • Cultural Geography
  • Cultural Studies and Popular Culture
  • Economic and Social History
  • Heritage Management
  • Museum and Gallery Studies
