Du 9 au 13 mai 2016 aura lieu la 37e conférence de l’Association Européenne d’infographie numérique à Lisbonne.

Cette conférence concerne l’infographie numérique, depuis les techniques pour construire un mesh ou sur la reconstruction des surfaces jusqu’aux techniques photoréalistes, mais aussi l’animation 3D ou les simulations de phénomènes naturels.

La conférence se tiendra au FIL Conference Center, Parque das Nações.

From May, 9th to 13th 2016 will be held the 37th conference of the European Association for Computer Graphics at Lisbon.

This conference continues a series of conferences organized by the Eurographics Association covering the wide field of computer graphics, from applied geometry techniques of meshing and surface reconstruction to photorealistic techniques (e.g., path tracing), as well as computer animation and simulation of natural phenomena.

The venue of the 37th Eurographics conference will be held at FIL Conference Center, Parque das Nações, one mile away from the Lisbon airport, superbly located in the Parque das Nações, where the EXPO’98 took place, facing the riverfront of Lisbon.

Colloque – 41st International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA), Mai 2016, Kalamata

Du 15 au 21 mai2016 aura lieu la 41e conférence internationale sur l’Archéométrie à Kalamata (Grèce).

Du 19 au 23 septembre 2016 aura lieu la 11e conférence sur les Lasers pour la conservation des œuvres d’Art à Cracovie.

Le 19 septembre aura lieu un atelier dédié aux aspects pratiques de l’utilisation de lasers pour la conservation et la restauration des œuvres d’Art.

La conférence rassemble chercheurs, conservateurs, restaurateurs, architectes, entreprises, et experts pour qu’ils partagent leurs projets et expériences.

    • Coherent light-based methods for imaging, documentation and examination of objects and structures:

From September 19th to 23rd 2016 will be held in Cracow the 11th conference on Lasers in the Conservation of Artworks.

On September 19th a workshop will take place dedicated to practical aspects of the use of lasers in preservation and restoration of Artworks.

The conference will gather together researchers, conservators and conservation scientists, companies, architects, decision-makers and experts in laser-based techniques for the conservation of cultural heritage to share their latest projects and experiences.

It’s organised by the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, the Nikolaus Copernicus Univeristy in Toruń and the Interacademic Institute of Conservation and Restoration of Art, Warsaw/Cracow.

The themes of the conference are:

    • Developments in laser removal of unwanted substances on culturally-important objects and monuments
    • Coherent light-based methods for imaging, documentation and examination of objects and structures:

Les 8 & 9 avril 2016 à l’University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill aura lieu le colloque international “Mapping the Past: G.I.S. Approaches to Ancient History”.

Organisé par le “Ancient World Mapping Center”, le colloque concernera les applications de la cartographie et des SIG à l’Histoire ancienne.

On April, 8 & 9, 2016 at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill will be held the conference Mapping the Past: G.I.S. Approaches to Ancient History.

The conference is organised by The Ancient World Mapping Center at UNC-Chapel Hill, and will concern digital mapping and its applications to the study of ancient history.

The introduction keynote will be delivered by Dr. Tom Elliott, founding director of AWMC and current director of the Pleiades Project) about “Stable Orbits or Clear Air Turbulence: Capacity, Scale, and Use Cases in Geospatial Antiquity”.

Interested speakers (20 minutes maximum) should submit an abstract of no more than 500 words together with a brief C.V. to awmc@unc.edu by December 15, 2015.

Du 4 au 5 avril 2016 aura lieu à Leiden aux Pays-Bas la conférence “Interactive Pasts” pour explorer les intersections entre l’archéologie et les jeux vidéos.

From April, 4th to 5th in Leiden, Nederlands, will be held the conference “Interactive Pasts” to explore the intersections of archaeology and video games.

Its aim is to bring scholars and students from archaeology, history, heritage and museum studies together with game developers and designers.

  • 3 themes (Monday April, 4th):

– Theme 1: Video games in archaeological research

– Theme 2: The past in game development

– Theme 3: Bringing it to the public

  • 3 sessions (Tuesday April, 5th):

– Session 1: How archaeology works – translating archaeological practice and interpretation to the creative industries’ language

– Session 2: How games work – translating creative industries’ practice to archaeological language

– Session 3: Making archaeology and games work together
